We are in the midst of a heat wave in Toronto and I would love to be at a cottage right now. Instead, I’ve gone through my bins and pulled out some great dishes that should also be at a cottage right now. This is a Figgjo Flint set (6 cups and saucers), in the most gentle shade of blue (there is a sugar bowl but it is out having its photo taken for Chatelaine magazine)

These dishes below, from Grindley, Medicine Hat Pottery and Sovereign Potters, all have that cottage feel.

The last grouping are pieces from Myott’s Safari shape in the Silent Night pattern.

The show opens Friday, May 14, 5-8pm, runs Saturday 11am-6pm and Sunday, noon to 5pm; Blair will be demonstrating on Saturday between noon and 2pm and all day Sunday.

We have had so many people looking for furniture that we are busily re-arranging the store so that we can bring in more desks, chairs, end tables, dining room sets, small cabinets and more. Just in is this fabulous made in Denmark FARSTRUP dining set; the table is 48″ long without the leaves, 79″ with. I always marvel when I dismantle and take apart one of these–so cleverly designed, so well-made and so easy to move around.

I’ll also be bringing in more end tables like this lovely tiled teak table

or chairs perfect for lounging, like this one
