Teak trolley for the patio

Is summer finally here? It certainly feels like it today. Here is a delightful teak trolley for the patio. The top shelf is actually a detachable tray–perfect for entertaining.

Folke Palsson FDB chair

This is such a great chair. It is in the classic orange/red colour. Just one makes a great accent piece in a room.

Bathurst Annex Art Tour this weekend

We are looking forward to hosting artist Blair McLean this weekend as part of a 17 site art tour in the area. Blair will be showing a number of his wood-burning art pieces, like Park Plaza below which is typical of the special environments that he creates. This photo doesn’t really do his work justice–you will have to come by and see it in person.

The show opens Friday, May 14, 5-8pm, runs Saturday 11am-6pm and Sunday, noon to 5pm; Blair will be demonstrating on Saturday between noon and 2pm and all day Sunday.

For more information about the tour go to http://google.com/site/bathurstannexarttour.

Kai Kristiansen chairs

Made in Denmark by Schou Andersen this Kai Kristiansen designed chair makes for a great dining chair (it passed the “can I sit in this for hours” test) but also a striking occasional chair.  The set of 4 chairs is $700.

Furniture is arriving

We have had so many people looking for furniture that we are busily re-arranging the store so that we can bring in more desks, chairs, end tables, dining room sets, small cabinets and more. Just in is this fabulous made in Denmark FARSTRUP dining set; the table is 48″ long without the leaves, 79″ with.  I always marvel when I dismantle and take apart one of these–so cleverly designed, so well-made and so easy to move around.

I’ll also be bringing in more end tables like this lovely tiled teak table
